Holiday Shoppers Fair is free and open to the public; Garden admission is required for those who wish to enter the Garden.
The Virgnia Center for Architecture's museum shop has quality books and gifts that reflect the study and appreciation of architecture. Carefully selected items for the home and office, in addition to fashion accessories, that reflect good design at reasonable prices will be featured in the Shoppers Fair. Some unique gifts that will be available are buddha boards, labyrinth balance boards, anchor blocks, leather goods, architectural games and puzzles, and desk accessories. A wide assortment of books, games, and toys will be available for children that will teach, inspire, and entertain!
On the special members-only preview night (Thursday, November 5) the Virginia Center for Architecture will host Dr. George C. Longest, signing Genius in the Garden: Charles F. Gillette and Landscape Architecture in Virginia
Longest earned his doctorate in American literature from the University of Georgia in 1969 & is Associate Professor Emeritus at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of English.
This well-written and beautifully photographed work is a must have book for the gardener, landscape architect or historic preservationist on your list.
