Shane Tippett

Executive Director

Working at the Garden for over 10 years, and Executive Director since 2011, Shane oversees all aspects of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden’s 80 acres, including more than a dozen themed gardens, a 63-foot-tall glass Conservatory, 75 staff members,  600+ volunteers, and $6 million annual budget. As the Richmond Region’s second most visited paid attraction, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden welcomes more than 300,000 visitors a year.

Grace Chapman

Horticulture Director

Grace has a strong public gardens background with experience at premier gardens in the United States and United Kingdom. During her tenure here, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden was named USA Today’s “#2 Best Public Garden in North America” and a “Top 10 North American Garden.”

Randee Humphrey

Education Director

Randee joined Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden as Education Manager in 2004, and oversees all functions of the Education department, including public, school, and special audience programs, educational exhibits and interpretation, management of Library and herbarium collections, and community initiatives and partnerships.

Kim Dove

Director of Guest Services

Kim began her career at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden over 10 years ago starting in the Facility Events department. She quickly moved up, becoming Manager, then Director of Guest Services, and currently oversees the Facility Events, Membership, Admissions, Operations, Maintenance and Security Departments, along with the Garden Shop.

Alice Baker

Director of Development

Alice brings a strong background and successful fundraising experience in higher education and nonprofit organizations, with over 18 years of experience. She is known for building collaborative relationships and a deep sense of commitment to the community. She oversees all charitable contributions to the Garden, including Annual Fund, Corporate Giving and Planned Gifts.

Beth Monroe

Public Relations and Marketing Director

Strategic public relations and marketing have helped propel Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden from “Richmond’s Best Kept Secret” to one of the region’s top destinations and national recognition. Beth has led these public relations and marketing efforts over the past 15 years as the Garden grows and brings people and plants together to improve our communities.

Frank Robinson

President Emeritus

Frank retired from the Garden on March 31, 2015. He has provided leadership to the Garden since 1992, first as Executive Director, then as President & CEO, and now as President Emeritus.
