Professional Continuing Education

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden offers several ways for professionals to learn. Use our programs to satisfy professional education requirements!

For teachers, the Garden offers professional development and training programs for environmental educators and teachers, including Agriculture in the Classroom workshops and Chesapeake Bay Foundation programs. For information on those programs, email the Children's Garden Program Developer, or visit the Teacher Training page.

For members of the green industry, opportunities include the Winter Symposium presented each February in cooperation with the Central Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association and Virginia Cooperative Extension. The biennial Gillette Forum on Landscape Design offers design professionals opportunities to learn about the latest design concepts from outstanding speakers. The next forum is scheduled for fall 2016.  For information on these programs, email the Adult Education Coordinator, or visit the Symposia page.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a registered provider in the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System.  Visit the Symposia page for programs offering LA CES credit
