University of Richmond Professional Certificate Program

The Landscape Design Professional Certificate Program focuses on horticulture, nursery and planting standards, and the creative process of landscape design through the University of Richmond's School of Continuing Studies. Use our programs to satisfy professional education requirements!

For teachers, the Garden offers professional development and training programs for environmental educators and teachers, including Agriculture in the Classroom workshops and Chesapeake Bay Foundation programs. For members of the green industry, opportunities include a long-running annual tree care symposium presented in cooperation with the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, and, in 2010, the Winter Symposium "Everything Old Is New Again," presented in cooperation with the Central Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association and Virginia Cooperative Extension.
