Altria Day of Sharing in the Community Kitchen Garden

Photos & text by Albert Brian Vick,  Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Community Kitchen Garden Coordinator
On Friday, May 4, 21 members of Altria’s PMUSA Brand Management team came to the Lewis Ginter Community Kitchen Garden to participate in a Day of Sharing. Led by Michael P. Goldman, the group split into three teams addressing the needs of specific sections of the garden. The team tackled substantial tasks to help continue the garden’s development, most notably the construction of four large raised planting beds in the wheelchair accessible section of the garden. In addition to improving the Community Kitchen Garden, the team wrapped up their Day of Sharing by completing several tasks in the Children’s Garden. Many thanks to this group for their hard work and tremendous results.

A great Altria team, exhausted but still smiling, surrounded by the tangible results of their efforts.
