March 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 2014, Thursdays 6 - 8 pm, Saturdays 9 - 11 am

Learn about nature photography from nationally known wildlife and environmental photojournalist Lynda Richardson ( and learn the ins and outs of your digital camera. Participants should have adjustable digital or film cameras (where you can change the aperture and shutter speed settings) with a close up or macro lens. Learn to use apertures and shutter speeds to their full advantage, making proper exposures as well as interesting compositions. A familiarity with F-stops and shutter speeds is helpful. A list of required equipment and suggested materials is sent after registration. This workshop includes an introduction to the subject, technical tips, a folder of handouts, and fieldwork in the garden with Lynda. Participants should already have some familiarity with their digital cameras.
