Making the Most of Your Digital SLR Camera
March 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 2014, Thursdays 6 - 8 pm, Saturdays 9 - 11 am
Learn about nature photography from nationally known wildlife and environmental photojournalist Lynda Richardson (www.lyndarichardsonphotography.com) and learn the ins and outs of your digital camera. Participants should have adjustable digital or film cameras (where you can change the aperture and shutter speed settings) with a close up or macro lens. Learn to use apertures and shutter speeds to their full advantage, making proper exposures as well as interesting compositions. A familiarity with F-stops and shutter speeds is helpful. A list of required equipment and suggested materials is sent after registration. This workshop includes an introduction to the subject, technical tips, a folder of handouts, and fieldwork in the garden with Lynda. Participants should already have some familiarity with their digital cameras.
$270 / $215 for members.
