Flame-Worked Glass Demonstration

Brad Pearson, a professional lamp-work glass artist, will demonstrate the process of flame-worked glass during the “Glorious Glass in the Garden” exhibition. A graduate of VCU, Pearson teaches intermediate and advanced glass classes at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond and around the country. Like Hans Godo Fräbel, Pearson first developed his love of precision and detail through work with a scientific glass blowing firm. For the past decade, he has refined his lamp-working skills and pushed the boundaries of design and small-scale hot glass work.

Join us in the Visitors Center Atrium on Saturday September 11 at both 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and learn more about how this magnificent work is created.

Flame-Worked Glass Demonstrations are included with regular Garden admission.
