Photographing Winterís Wonders Short Course

February 9, 11, 16, varying times (read carefully below)

Details:

Learn about nature photography from nationally known wildlife and environmental photojournalists Lynda Richardson (www.lyndarichardsonphotography.com) The winter landscape may seem sparse and barren, but in this workshop Lynda helps you see its treasures and photograph them in an artistic manner. This workshop includes an introduction to the subject, technical tips, a folder of handouts, and fieldwork in the Garden with Lynda.

Participants should have adjustable digital or film cameras (where you can change the aperture and shutter speed settings) with a close up or macro lens. Learn to use apertures and shutter speeds to their full advantage, making proper exposures as well as interesting compositions. A familiarity with F-stops and shutter speeds is helpful. A list of required equipment and suggested materials is sent after registration. A lecture, fieldwork, and a critique are included:

  • February 9- lecture 6 – 8 pm
  • February 11– fieldwork 9 – 11 am
  • February 16- critique 6 – 8 pm
