Learn about nature photography from nationally known wildlife and environmental photojournalist Lynda Richardson (www.lyndarichardsonphotography.com) and get creative with this standard feature! Learn in-depth ways to use this tool to compose your photographs and make your subjects ‘pop.’ The workshop includes an introduction to the subject, technical tips, a folder of handouts, and fieldwork in the garden with Lynda. Those who have taken Lynda’s “Using Your Camera’s Flash” class or who have been working with their flash are welcome.

Participants should have adjustable digital or film cameras (where you can change the aperture and shutter speed settings) with a close up or macro lens. Learn to use apertures and shutter speeds to their full advantage, making proper exposures as well as interesting compositions. A familiarity with F-stops and shutter speeds is helpful. A list of required equipment and suggested materials is sent after registration.
