Engagement, Wedding & Family Photography Sessions

All wedding and family-related photography sessions must be scheduled in advance and paid in full at the time of booking through the Facility Rental Department at (804) 262-9887, ext. 224 or 345. Photo sessions are scheduled Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3:30 pm, and do not include a photographer.

Sessions are also permitted during Families After Five and Flowers After Five (seasonal evening events) with the last session scheduled by 7pm. Certain gardens are not available during these events (Families After 5 – Children’s Garden and Flowers After 5 – Rose Garden).

Non-scheduled sessions are not permitted.

Photos are permitted throughout the Garden (outdoors only), but areas cannot be reserved. Courtesy to Garden guests must be observed by all photographers and clients at all times. Obstruction of Garden paths, guest common areas, especially areas used to enter and exit facilities, areas being used for a private or Garden-wide event, and intrusion on exhibits, are strictly prohibited. No photographers, clients, or equipment will be allowed in plant display beds. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Garden staff will not be available to accompany groups for photographs. Garden maps are available at the Admissions Desk.

Late Arrivals - No adjustments to session time or designated restroom time will be made due to late arrivals. Garden hours of operation (9am – 5pm) are strictly enforced. There are no refunds for late arrivals.

Changing Area – A restroom will be designated for dressing during the reserved photo session time only, BY REQUEST, at time of reservation. Designated restroom location is determined by the Garden and client must check in at the Admissions Desk in the Robins Visitors Center for location details.

Inclement Weather – A photography session may be rescheduled due to inclement weather through the Facility Events Coordinator under the terms above. There are no refunds for photography sessions (to include non-rescheduled shoots or no-shows).

Fees

Persons renting Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for a wedding ceremony and reception receive one 1 hour complimentary photography session.

Persons not renting the Garden for a wedding ceremony and reception must pay $300 per 1 ½ hour photography session.

Photography session (1 ½ hours): $300*
Additional hours: $100 per hour

*Includes complimentary admission for 6 people, including the photographer and assistants; all others must pay regular Garden admission.
