Through the Eyes of a Child

Last week, at Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights,  the little people in my life taught me a lesson: children experience the wonder of the world with all five of their senses. As the Lewis Ginter lights cast their spell over us, we watched glimmering wolves run wild along Sydnor Lake. We felt the warm glow of the bonfire and tasted crunchy, creamy s’mores with hot cocoa. We heard trains rumbling around the track, a silent thunderstorm and peals of laughter everywhere. And yes, we believe that bottle flowers really do smell sweet.
