Meriwether Godsey at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

Meriwether Godsey has been a partner with Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for more than seven years and is responsible for all catering as well as food service in the Garden Café and the Tea House. Based in Lynchburg, Va., the employee-owned company employs more than 500 people and serves more than 30 locations along the Eastern United States including businesses, colleges, schools and residential communities. Meriwether Godsey is committed to using locally sourced products; some examples at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden include:

  • In the Garden Café, Meriwether Godsey proudly serves these Virginia products: Route 11 potato chips (Mount Jackson) and Fruit 66 drinks (Richmond, VA); Starr Hill beer (Charlottesville) and Legend beer (Richmond); Greenberry coffee (Charlottesville); and locally made desserts and snacks including cookies, brownies, cheese straws, and granola. There’s even regular and gluten-free biscotti from Biscotti Goddess (Richmond).

  • In the Tea House: Meriwether Godsey offers seasonal menus and features herbs freshly cut from the Garden.
