Maureen Denlea Massey

Maureen joined the Garden as Development Director in spring of 2013. In her career, Maureen has served as Community Relations Director of Markel Corporation, the Executive Director of Development and External Relations for VCU’s Massey Cancer Center and as President & CEO of the Hospital Hospitality House of Richmond.
As a volunteer Maureen serves on the ChildFund International Board of Directors. In 1999, Maureen was selected to represent small charities in America on the 17-member national panel that was charged with reviewing and revising the standards that charities must meet in order to be approved by the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance. The Rockefeller Brothers and Mott Foundations funded the work which was completed in 2001.
Born and raised in New York, Maureen is a magna cum laude graduate of State University of New York at Albany with a BA in Russian Language education.
