Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Fundraising events, contributions, grants, endowments, and membership enable Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden to welcome more than 250,000 visitors each year. The funding, secured by the Development team, is led by Jennifer Little.
Jennifer has been with the Garden since 1999 and has seen Lewis Ginter transform into one of the major horticultural and botanical facilities in the U.S. Under the leadership of Frank Robinson, Executive Director, the Garden successfully completed a $42 million Capital Campaign in 2004 resulting in the Garden’s major facilities for horticulture, education and community events. During this time annual visitation has increased from 65,000 to 256,871, and membership increased from 3,808 to 12,041 households, making the Garden one of the most visited attractions in the Richmond area.
After graduating with a B.A. in Political Science and minor in History from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Jennifer moved to Washington, DC, where she participated in political fundraising for Congressional candidates. Shortly thereafter, Jennifer was hired to work on the legislative staff of former U.S. Senator Chuck Robb. After her time on Capital Hill Jennifer transferred her skills to the Grocery Manufacturers of America, a trade association for food, beverage and consumer product companies where she worked with corporate members.
