FRANK ROBINSON MOVES TO PRESIDENT & CEO

SHANE TIPPETT PROMOTED TO EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

NEW HORTICULTURE DIRECTOR IS GRACE CHAPMAN


On October 4, 2011, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Board of Directors President William H. King, Jr. announced the Garden's Executive Director Frank Robinson is now President and CEO of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Robinson has provided leadership to the Garden since 1992 as Executive Director. He will now focus on development activities, Frank Robinson and Shane Tippett at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardenlong-term planning, partnerships and visioning for the institution. Shane Tippett has been promoted to Executive Director. Tippett has served the Garden since 2004 as Assistant Director for Finance and Operations. Tippett will now be responsible for all daily operations, staffing and financial activity. Shane Tippett's Narrative Biography.

This new structure is designed to support the Garden as it continues to plan and implement the next phase of the its long-term plan.

After a national search, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is pleased to announce Grace Chapman as its new director of horticulture. Chapman has a strong public gardens background with experience at premier gardens in the United States and United Kingdom. Most recently she was horticulture supervisor at the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University in Ambler, Pennsylvania. In her new role, Chapman will direct horticulture for Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden starting October 18, 2011. Learn more about Director of Horticulture Grace Chapman.
