Alice Baker

Director of Advancement

Director of Advancement Alice Baker brings to the Garden a strong background and successful fundraising experience in higher education and nonprofit organizations. Her previous positions have included Senior Director of Development with the University of Virginia Engineering Foundation; Associate Director of Development, Major Gifts, at Georgetown University; Director of Development, Trinity Episcopal School; and Director of Special Events, Saint Christopher’s School.

She has a bachelor of arts in education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and coursework toward two master’s degrees. She’s a member of the Virginia Association of Fundraising Executives and her community service and volunteer work includes the Goochland Free Clinic and Family Services, and Grace Episcopal Church.

A native Richmonder, Alice resides in Goochland. She has two grown sons and her interests include horseback riding and gardening.
