February Volunteer of the Month

Betsy Slade

Betsy has contributed over 3,500 hours of volunteer service since she began working at the Garden in 1993.

She is an active Garden Guide, leads group tours, and works in our plant sales and other special events.

Much of the work she does each week is truly “behind the scenes.”  Many hours are devoted to verifying data related to plants and updating the Garden’s plant database as new plants are added or removed from the Garden.

If you see a label near a plant in the Garden – you are safe in assuming that Betsy engraved it!
