Intermediate Drawing for Botanical Illustration

Continue to explore line quality and expressiveness as introduced in “Introduction.”  Students continue to develop the basic techniques and knowledge covered in Introduction to Drawing.  Complete one or more drawings of a seasonally-appropriate botanical  subject of your choice, practicing the core concepts taught in the class.  Accuracy of drawing is emphasized as well as artistic expression. Instructor:  Hazel Buys.  Lunch is on your own each day.

Botanical Illustration drawing classGES: BI, 20, required*

Introduction to Drawing for Botanical Illustration, is a pre-requisite for this class.  The requirement may be waived on review of a portfolio by the instructor.

*This course provides 20 hours of required credit for the Botanical Illustration Certificate program.  It takes place over four Thursdays:
