SUMMARY:Latin Ballet: MAGIC (Magia)
DESCRIPTION:MAGIC (Magia)\nJune 25\, 2022\, performances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (40 minutes each) \nLatin Ballet of Virginia presents MAGIC (Magia)\, a dance theatre work based on the book written by local artists\, Chris Burnside and Cat Studdard called “The Gift.” MAGIC\, (Magia) is an exploration of nature\, a compelling review of the many gifts that nature offers to humans. The Latin Ballet highlights a complex ecological relationship between nature and people\, MAGIC describes the terrible consequences of destroying the magical gifts that nature gives us. MAGIC captivates the deep importance of the natural world\, the essential role of the insects\, the role native pollinators play in sustaining the earth’s plant diversity. The essential care of being aware of Mother Earth\, the magic of flowers and plants producing energy for us to breath! Let’s remember our magical gift\, take care of animals and plants like they are our best friends\, help bugs thrive\, consume less gasoline\, do not waste water\, eat healthily and exercise\, always recycle and enjoy the world around you! \nLatin Ballet’s MAGIC will be enhanced with live music by Cuban artist\, Yohan Manuel.

Children are welcome to help with a parent. \nThe 2020 City Nature Challenge takes place in 2 parts \nApril 24 – 27\, 2020\nTaking pictures of wild plants and animals. \nApril 28 –May 3\, 2020\nIdentifying what was found. \nOrganized by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
