SUMMARY:Painting Seed Pods in Watercolor
DESCRIPTION:With the splash of fall colors waning in woods and meadows\, rather subdued seed pods catch the eyes of botanical artists. The seeds and pods are a perfect subject to study form\, value and fine brush techniques in a monochromatic color scheme.  In this workshop\, students will use milkweed seed pods\, which offer various learning elements: how to deal with the fine white hair/thread of the downy tufts\,  how to balance the complicated structural form of the seeds in an orderly composition\, how to use a value system to maximize the three-dimensionality of the exploding seeds\, and how to create fuzzy textures.  This is an online class via Zoom. \nView the materials list for this class. \nPrerequisites: Introduction to Drawing for Botanical Illustration\, Intermediate Drawing for Botanical Illustration and Introduction to Watercolor for Botanical Illustration.
