Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony and reception or reception only. Three venues provide a beautiful outdoor garden space for the ceremony during the spring through fall months of April – October. During the winter season, reception venues are paired with indoor facilities for the wedding ceremony. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden was named, by The Knot, a "Best of Weddings 2010 Winner" according to Virginia brides and "Best Place for a Wedding Reception" by Virginia Living magazine, 2012.


Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden offers these additional options and benefits for wedding clients:

• Complimentary group tastings are hosted by Meriwether Godsey twice a year for booked bridal clients and a guest. The tastings include selections of popular menu items and a sampling of house wines.

• Menus and pricing for Meriwether Godsey can be found on the Catering Website.
• A 50% rental discount for a rehearsal dinner event with a booked ceremony and reception.
• Our Celebration Package is perfect for luncheons, showers and day-after-wedding brunches.
• An evening tour option, including the stunning Conservatory, with a rental of the Robins Visitors Center.

Ceremony Garden Pairing Below Venue


This historic landmark, with views of Lakeside Lake, is an ideal facility for rehearsal dinners and a favored location for wedding receptions. The House is embellished with period antiques and furnishings reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts Era. The first-floor rental includes formal rooms with fireplaces and cozy side rooms. In addition to covered verandas and extensive brick patios, the first-floor rental includes two 30-by-60-foot party tents spring through fall.


Ceremony in the Grace Arents Garden

Spring- Fall (April- October)

This charming garden dates back to the era of its owner, Grace Arents. The center sundial, gazebo, and arbors offer romantic ceremony options. During blooming season, the garden features roses, peonies, and a variety of herbs, annuals, perennials, and small shrubs.


ROBINS VISITORS CENTER (Three Reception Options)

The “gateway to the Garden,” the classic,

neo-Georgian style Robins Visitors Center is a wonderful facility for a wide variety of bridal events and may be rented by individual room or in its entirety.




Ceremony in the Rose Garden (all options)
Spring- Fall (mid May - October)

The belvedere and terrace of the Rose Garden serve as a perfect outdoor stage for wedding ceremonies. During blooming season, white blooms border the center of the Rose Garden with pinks, reds, and purples to the east and creams, yellows, and oranges to the west.


Option 1
Reception in the Robins Visitors Center

An evening rental of the Robins Visitors Center includes the Robins Room, Garden Café, and terraces, as well as the Atrium and Fountain Terrace Garden. With dramatic views of the stunning Central Garden and Conservatory, this facility offers garden-themed rooms for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners.

Option 2
Reception in the Robins Room
The formal Robins Room, with elegant chandeliers and tall French doors, is a beautiful space for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and the “day-after-brunch.” A formal terrace adjoins the space and includes bench seating and a water feature.


Option 3
Reception in the Garden Café
The Garden Café, with its botanical art theme, offers a more casual setting for wedding receptions with window views of the stunning Central Garden and Conservatory. The space includes an adjoining, informal terrace with patio-style furniture.

Set in the Asian Valley, the Robins Tea House is an oasis of tranquility and beauty available for evening rental. With its panoramic views of nature’s year-round splendor, the Tea House is the perfect setting for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners.



Ceremony in the Flagler Pavilion
Spring- Fall (April- October)

Flagler boasts an expansive collection of perennials, bulbs, woody plants, and blooming shrubs, creating an ever-changing palette of seasonal beauty for this cozy ceremony site. The stone terrace of the pavilion, surrounded by ornamental borders with views of the expansive central lawn, serves as an outdoor stage for wedding ceremonies.




Massey Conference Center Auditorium
Reception Only
The richly appointed Auditorium is an ideal location for wedding receptions and includes chandelier lighting and elegant décor in a natural, environmental-friendly color palette. A user-friendly audiovisual package including an oversized glass screen, a rear LCD projector, and wireless microphones is available for client use.


Massey Conference Center Azalea Room
Located across the hall from the Massey Conference Center Auditorium, the Azalea Room can be rented with the Auditorium for a wedding reception or bridal dressing space. It is also a great location for intimate bridal luncheons and showers, rehearsal dinners, and the “day-after-brunch.” With panoramic views of the Central Garden and Conservatory, this light-filled room includes The Evelyn G. Luck Garden terrace.
