Rotating Scheduled Activities | June - August

Every 1st Tuesday - Goin’ on a Bug Hunt!

Join us as we grab our gear and go on a bug hunt. One of our “bug specialists” will share knowledge about the insect world as we take inventory of the predators and pollinators that inhabit the Children’s Garden and surrounding areas.

Every 2nd Tuesday - Jammin’

Enjoy a special “vibe” in the Children’s Garden. The Garden rocks and rolls with the special energy that comes from listening, dancing, clapping and stomping feet to the music.

Every 3rd Tuesday – Drop in and Dig!

Participate in simple, easy-to-learn gardening tasks under the guidance of Children’s Garden staff and volunteers. These family-oriented gardening experiences can easily be enjoyed at home. Join us to learn how much fun gardening with children can be!

Every 4th Tuesday - Family Walkabouts

Be sure to bring all your senses and join a staff-led walkabout to see what’s “happening now” in the Children’s Garden

Every 5th Tuesday - Garden Art Studio

Get in the creative zone! Work alongside our staff artist, Katelyn Coyle, in the colorful Garden Art Studio located beside the Hidden Tunnel.  Throughout the gardening season, Katelyn will be creating several butterfly-inspired pieces.  Drop-in and unfold your creative energy. Use provided materials to collaborate, explore and reflect on your own Garden experience.
