Practice the calming rhythms of breathing, movement and meditation in a tranquil Garden setting. Engage in revelatory self-exploration rooted in nature and discover the historic connections between plants and the spirit. Discover restorative, nature-centered learning this season with classes that explore herbalism, natural incense making, meditative gardening, and practices to relax and rejuvenate your neck and shoulders.

ONE-DAY RELAXATION WORKSHOPS
NEW! The Botanical Body: Gardening Practices for Mindfulness | April 18 | IN-PERSON
Gardening provides many physical and mental benefits beyond just creating a beautiful space to enjoy. Learn how to incorporate therapeutic design techniques into your space, and ways to maintain your garden that nurtures both your well-being and also local wildlife. At the end of the course we will take a walk around the garden and practice some of the mindfulness techniques outlined in the course. Students will take home a garden journal and three native perennial or medicinal plants to add to their own healing garden.
NEW! Writing in the Garden | April 25 | IN-PERSON
The garden in spring is a magical place for writing. This class will feature a mix of modern plant science, philosophy, and creative writing – and how a deeper understanding of plant intelligence can inform how we think and write about our shared world. We’ll begin in the classroom with an interactive lesson and writing exercises before moving outside to explore with pen and paper. We’ll learn from specific plants but also take time for writing openly in beautiful spring garden spaces. This class is open to writers of all levels and genre interests.

Discover gentle Qigong movements and mindful practices inspired by the wisdom and vitality of trees. In this immersive workshop, you’ll explore how trees can guide us in rooting deeply, standing with strength and grace, and recognizing the web of connection that links all living things. Together, we will learn to sense and align with the healing energies of trees, enhancing both well-being and harmony with nature. The experience includes walking among the gardens, pausing to engage with trees in ways that awaken awareness and appreciation.

Release Lower Back Pain | June 6 | IN-PERSON
Cancel your back pain through the 6 movements of the spine, functional movement exercises, postural imagery and breathing techniques. This workshop will also guide you through self-massage and imagery techniques that can help to cancel your back pain. Exercises and information within this workshop come from the book Pelvic Power For Men and Women, mind/body exercises for strength, flexibility, posture and balance, by Eric Franklin.
Relax your Neck and Liberate your Shoulders | July 11 | IN-PERSON
Instead of continuing to recycle the same poor posture points that lead to your neck and shoulder pain, come and experience something different. Learn about the function and use of your neck and shoulders, liberate your mobility, and incorporate a better feeling posture into your daily life. This class includes gentle functional movement exercises, ball rolling, mindfulness, and imagery techniques to improve posture, function, mobility and the relaxation of your neck and shoulder girdle.
Meditative Botanical Drawing | August 15 | IN-PERSON
Channel your creativity and find your bliss in this workshop with local artist Dana DuMont. Use nature as your inspiration to design complex, imaginative images with repeated organic lines and shapes. Working with graphite, watercolor and colored pencils, you will create small works suitable for framing. This relaxing workshop will be held in a classroom with beautiful Garden views.
BOTANICAL INCENSE WORKHOPS
Join Conservatory Horticulturist Clare Reines for hands-on workshops where you learn to make your own seasonal-scented incense using natural ingredients! She will cover the science and rich history behind incense making, and teach you how to work with resins, herbs, oils, and wood to create your own unique blend that celebrates the season.

NEW! GUIDED FOREST THERAPY WALKS IN FLAGLER PERENNIAL GARDEN
Join us for a guided forest therapy walk with instructor Linda Pierce in the beautiful Flagler Perennial Garden and experience the restorative practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). Backed by science, forest bathing supports stress reduction, immune health, and mental clarity—while also offering a rare chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and fully arrive in the present moment. Through gentle walking and guided sensory invitations, you’ll discover beauty and calm in ways that often go unnoticed.

NEW! Bloomistry Wellness: Mushrooms 101 | August 1 | IN-PERSON
Explore how fungi support human wellness and ecological balance. In this class, we’ll look at the healing properties of mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Reishi, and Turkey Tail—how they support brain health, immunity, stress resilience, and more—along with current research and traditional uses. We’ll also discuss the vital role fungi play in soil building, nutrient cycling, and plant communication. Participants will leave with a mushroom tincture kit so they can apply what they learned in class at home!
Herbalism 101: Oils & Salves | August 15 | IN-PERSON
Join instructor Nitika Achalam for an engaging session where she delves into the world of medicinal plants to craft beneficial oils and salves. Learn about various carriers and processes while we co-create our own herbal salve to take home. Dive into the art of herbal infusions with a shared tea-making experience and leave equipped with the knowledge to create a skin-soothing salve using easily accessible herbs. Discover the joys of working with natural remedies with low risk of adverse effects and be empowered to replicate these practices at home.
Garden Salutations Gentle Yoga IN-PERSON
This gentle yoga practice is designed for those who wish to feel a sense of ease, strength and balance in their daily movements and experience inner peace and community in the welcoming setting of the Garden. Instructor Rie Monique Cherie brings a multifaceted therapeutic approach. Classes take place in a mix of outdoor and indoor settings, weather permitting.
