Bites Around the World: Germany

More than sauerkraut and sausages, German cooking encompasses delectable aromas, delicious flavors and Gemütlichkeit (warmth, coziness and cheer). Learn about the delights of classic German cuisine with Executive Chef Anne Maury Haapala as she demonstrates how home chefs can create regional favorites at home, like from-scratch spaetzle, beef rouladen and more. Demonstration is followed by a delicious dinner featuring some of the recipes demonstrated along with with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage depending on your preference.

Bites Around the World: Spain with Chef AnneChef Anne Maury Haapala

Chef Anne is the Executive Chef for the Garden’s caterer, Meriwether-Godsey.  She has a degree in hospitality and tourism from Virginia Tech and studied Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
