HERBALISM 101
TISANES AND TINCTURES

Explore the ancient and modern practice of herbalism through the lens of tisanes (herbal infusions) and tinctures (herbal extracts). This introductory workshop invites participants to deepen their understanding of plant medicine, its roots in Indigenous and traditional healing systems, its journey through time, and its role in personal and community wellness today. Through hands-on learning, storytelling, and guided sensory exploration, participants will engage directly with herbs to experience how they support body, mind, and spirit. We’ll examine herbs growing in the garden, discuss their uses, and sample preparations made from both locally grown and wildcrafted plants.
