Painting Wintery Berries and Birds
WITH GOUACHE
Gouache, pronounced “goo-wash,” is a versatile paint that can be opaque like acrylics or translucent and reawakened with water like watercolors. In this intensive one-day workshop, students will learn the basics of painting with gouache and apply them to render wintery scenes with birds and berries, celebrating the plants and animals that call Lewis Ginter home, even in the cold months. In this class students will go from drawing to finalized painting as they learn the basic steps needed to work with gouache.
