THE SUBTLE ART OF
Blended Alcohol Ink on Gourds
Discover the beauty and versatility of alcohol inks in this hands-on gourd art class! In this workshop, students will explore the subtle art of blending and layering alcohol inks to create stunning, one-of-a-kind finishes on natural gourd surfaces. You’ll experiment with a variety of applicators to achieve different blending effects and learn how to enhance the unique shape of the gourd.
To complete your creation, you’ll be guided through the process of weaving a decorative rim using paper rush and adding a final embellishment with beads for a touch of elegance. Whether you’re new to gourd art or looking to expand your creative skills, this class offers a fun and enriching experience in working with vibrant color and natural materials.
All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. It is recommended for students to bring an apron or smock to protect clothing, but aprons are also available to borrow.
