Make a wedding truly unique by creating your own floral decorations! Floral designer Mimi Cassick will cover the basic types of wedding arrangements from centerpieces to altar pieces and bouquets with tips for keeping your creations fresh for the big day. All floral materials will be provided except for floral snips. All arrangements are yours to take home.

Fees: Member $338, Non-Member $360

This course takes place over 5 Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm:

*GES: FD, 10, required

*This course offers 10 hours of required credit toward the Garden Education Series: Floral Design Certificate program. Non-certificate students with some floral design experience are welcome.

About the Instructor

Floral designer Mimi Cassick has been creating designs for Richmond area clients for more than 30 years. She has worked independently and with Coleman Brothers Flowers, Vogue Flowers and is currently with Magic Special Events. She has taught floral design at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for more than 20 years and is the primary instructor for the required courses in the Floral Design Certificate.
