YOUNG BUDS PROGRAMS
We will begin booking school field trips for 2026-2027 the first week of August!

Please note that we are not offering programming for homeschool groups at this time.
Pricing
- The cost is $16 per student; the minimum group charge is $160.
- One adult per five students is admitted free to ensure adequate supervision during the program. Exceptions will be made for students who require additional support.
- The cost for additional adult chaperones is $20 per person. The limit of adult chaperones that can accompany each guided program is five, including teachers. Additional adults can accompany their child before and after the guided program time.
Program Details
- Programs are designed for students aged 4-5 years old.
- Fall and Spring programs take place entirely outdoors. There are no indoor classrooms available. Winter programs are partially indoors and partially outdoors. Please have everyone dressed for the weather. We reserve the right to cancel programming when weather conditions prove unsafe or detrimental to a positive experience for your students (such as in the event of heavy rains or poor air quality). While we do everything possible to reschedule visits canceled due to inclement weather, nature is unpredictable and we cannot make any guarantees.
Butterflies Bloom
- Visiting Butterflies is part of your experience, but not part of your guided program. It will be scheduled for you during your independent time.

PROGRAM OFFERINGS
Flowers to Fruit
September – November
Did you know that flowers turn into fruit? Do you know the difference between a fruit and a vegetable? Students will go on a nature walk to observe pollinators at work and discover the amazing transformation from flower to seed-bearing fruit. Along the way, students will collect seeds and other surprises, and learn more about how they can grow at home.
NEW! Plants Around the World
December – February
Have you ever been to the Mediterranean? How about a desert? Journey inside the newly renovated Conservatory to learn about plants that you wouldn’t see in your backyard. We will take time to draw in our very one nature journals as we learn how plants survive around the world. We will end our adventure by visiting the new Butterflies Bloom exhibit!
Art in Bloom
March –May
Journey across the Garden to gain inspiration for magnificent artwork! From tall trees to small flower buds, artistic inspiration will come as we explore what is growing around the Garden.
