First of all, thank you for sticking with us. Members, when you signed up for membership, you didn’t realize there would be a period of time when you would not be able to access the Garden. Nobody did. But that is what has happened. We’ve closed the Garden to protect everyone and to help mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Rest assured, we will extend your membership for the length of time the Garden is closed and we have made moves to ensure you will have a Garden to come back to once it’s time to reopen.
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden has always been extremely resourceful, earning more than 65% of its annual operating budget, including income from membership dues. Since the Garden’s closure on March 15, many of our income streams have dropped to zero. However, a draw from the Garden’s endowment provides financial stability for limited operations while the Garden is closed.
