We’ll explore drought-tolerant plant selection, tools for evaluating your landscape’s strengths and vulnerabilities, strategies for enhancing local biodiversity, and sustainable maintenance practices that support long-term resilience and recovery. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, you’ll gain the knowledge and inspiration to cultivate a healthy, resilient garden for the future.  Ticket includes a customizable mix-and-match six pack of drought-tolerant, native perennial plants (landscaping plug size).

Kaity Bevenour

About the Instructor

Kaity Bevenour is the owner of Parallel Nursery, a native plant nursery in Richmond VA that specializes in growing pesticide free, sustainable perennial plants from the Mid-Atlantic ecoregion. A lifelong plant enthusiast, Kaity is an ecological horticulturalist trained in both classical horticulture and conservation principles. Over the last ten years she has worked in the nursery trade & landscaping industry in both southern California and Virginia. As a certified Chesapeake Bay landscaping professional, she works to merge environmental considerations with horticultural techniques to create beautiful and ecologically inspiring gardens.
