MORE MAGIC
WITH ALCOHOL INKS

Experience the almost instant magic, the infinite possibilities and surprises of alcohol inks over three class sessions. Inspired by the images and colors of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, participants will use a variety of techniques to create several small, painted tiles suitable for hanging and gifting. For those who have painted on tiles with Shelley previously: no two alcohol ink paintings are ever the same, and Shelley will have new tips and tricks! Painting expertise or experience with alcohol inks is not necessary. This creative adventure is designed to be fun for everyone. Materials, time, and instruction to frame and/or mount your best work will be included.

About the Instructor

Shelley RowThroughout her career, Shelley Row has taught art at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in Chesterfield County Schools. She has had her own studio and gallery, taught “in home” painting workshops, and served as adjunct faculty for the VCU Art Education Department. She strongly believes in everyone’s ability to create and the pure joy to be found through “playing” with a variety of art media. As a practicing visual artist, she also understands the absolute necessity of the arts in society and advocates for the visual and performing arts.

“Teaching at Lewis Ginter has been the greatest gift of my retirement years. I have had the privilege of working surrounded by beautiful, ever-changing inspiration and meeting the most wonderful people.”
