Forest Therapy
RETREAT

Engage in a day dedicated to self-care, self-exploration and connection to the natural world in the Garden. The day includes a blend of contemplation, noticing and sharing. Sample a variety of mediums such as art, poetry and journaling to explore connecting with the natural world and restoring oneself. This restorative day is conducted during an extensive guided forest therapy experience with invitations designed for the group, season and theme of restore. The walk covers approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile total. Wear comfortable clothing appropriate to the weather and sturdy shoes for sometimes unpaved terrain. A boxed lunch is included. Rain date: October 16.

Our Garden continues to follow CDC recommendations and state guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Properly worn masks are required for indoor class participants regardless of vaccination status. Non-vaccinated participants are also required to wear masks when outdoors and unable to maintain 6 feet of social distancing. The Garden reserves the right to implement additional safety measures. Any updates will be communicated prior to class, if possible.

About the Instructors

Linda Pierce is certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. Helping people look inward and expand themselves and their appreciation and stewardship of nature is a passion and a guiding extension of her work in organizational and personal and professional development. She is certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid.

Traci Munyan is a certified guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. She enjoys guiding both public and private walks and has worked with nonprofits, government agencies and spiritual retreats. She sits on the board of the Friends of Forest Hill Park and is certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid.
