Harvest celebration with live music and good green fun in the Children’s Garden. We have over 500 pumpkins — kids can choose one and take it home (while supplies last).

Native Species Community Mural
Join illustrator Laura Marr in the Kelly Education Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help paint a mural panel focused on native Virginia plants and helpful pollinators. Artists of all ages are encouraged to add color to local plants, insects, and animals that are meant to thrive in Central Virginia; such as milkweed (Asciepias syriaca), rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos), goldenrod (Solidago), wood ferns (Dryopteris carthusiana), scarlet oak (Quercus coccinea), hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Art supplies are provided. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is featured in Marr’s Richmond-themed coloring book, Inky Richmond.
SCRAP RVA – What will you make of it?
Goblins and Gourds attendees can wow us, and scare us, with a cute or creepy, or cutely creepy, creation! We will have samples on our table including a friendly, fuzzy owl and a fanged, scary spider.
The Sweet Potatoes band will be playing at Goblins & Gourds this year!
