National recording artist Gregory Alan Isakov will perform at Groovin’ in the Garden at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden on Thursday, October 12, 2023. A horticulturist and musician, Isakov has cast an impressive presence on the indie-rock and folk worlds with his five full-length studio albums, including one nominated for a Grammy award for Best Folk Album. The opening act for the evening is the indie band, Lucius. See details below.

This show is presented by Broadberry Entertainment Group and is a pilot concert to explore the possibility of a Groovin’ series return.

  • Purchase tickets online
  • Tickets are $47.99 for Lawn; $77.99 for GOLD CIRCLE.
  • GOLD CIRCLE tickets are directly in front of the stage and include a seat. 
  • Physical tickets will also be on sale at Plan 9 Records.
  • Tickets are not available for purchase at the Garden.
  • This concert is presented by Broadberry Entertainment Group; the Garden is unable to view or modify ticket orders.

CONCERT

  • Location: Outside in the Cochrane Rose Garden; guests sit on the terraced lawn
  • Gates open at 6 p.m.; concert begins at 7 p.m.
  • Food and drinks will be available for purchase. No outside food or drinks are permitted.
  • Chairs and blankets are allowed in the LAWN section. Chairs are provided in the Gold Circle.  
  • Tents, staking, canopies and wagons are NOT allowed. 
  • Small, personal umbrellas are permitted in case of rain. 
  • No backpacks or large purses are permitted; clear bags are recommended.
  • No professional cameras are allowed. 
  • Parking is available in the lots at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Ticket holders are encouraged to carpool and rideshare if possible. 
  • Absolutely no illegal substances, illicit goods, fireworks, weapons, guns, knives or laser pointers will be permitted at the event and violators will be held accountable and prosecuted according to state and federal law. 
  • No pets are allowed. 
  • This event is rain or shine. 
  • Refunds are offered only if the entire event is canceled.
