POWER TO THE POLLINATORS:
GARDENING WITH NATIVE PLANTS
Discover the incredible world of native plants and their vital role in supporting our local pollinators! Instructors Clara Aus (Butterflies LIVE! Coordinator at the Garden) and Will Nelson (Digital Content Strategist at the Garden) will provide you with an understanding of native plant gardening, propagation and its positive impact on butterflies, bees and other essential pollinators. The class incorporates hands-on learning, including a walking tour of native plants in the Garden to observe pollinators in their natural habitat. Additionally, you’ll have the unique opportunity to explore the M&T Bank Butterflies LIVE! exhibit, gaining a deeper appreciation for the symbiotic relationship between native plants and pollinators. To kick-start your own native plant gardens for the fall, you’ll receive a selection of seeds and a plant that is native to the Richmond region.
