The gardens will be in glorious bloom as part of A Million Blooms, and this is a rare chance to experience the Garden after-hours on a spring evening. As twilight falls, images will be projected onto the Garden’s Conservatory.
Party Liberation Foundation (PLF) is a partner with The Big Bloom. As part of the event, PLF will be providing their full custom-built sound system, an incredible troupe of fire performers, mind blowing fire sculptures, and visual projection art for an unforgettable celebration of the coming of spring. They will be joined by the sensational DJ and producer Illexxandra, hailing from NYC.
Roaming performers representing primordial elemental creatures will delight with immersive experiences; look for a water faerie, mushroom spirit, flame sprite and more. The artists’ appearance is in connection with the Richmond Fringe Festival.
The Garden’s 2024 Artist-in-Residence Kyle M. Epps will also be live painting throughout the event.

Important Details
- Location: Outside in the Cochrane Rose Garden; guests sit on the terraced lawn
- Food and drinks will be available for purchase. No outside food or drinks are permitted.
- Chairs are allowed in the LAWN section. No blankets.
- Tents, staking, canopies and wagons are NOT allowed.
- Small, personal umbrellas are permitted in case of rain.
- No backpacks or large purses are permitted; bags must be clear and be no larger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″.
- No professional cameras are allowed.
- Unopened water bottles and empty refillable water bottles are allowed; the Garden has refillable water stations.
- Parking is available in the lots at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Ticket holders are encouraged to carpool and rideshare if possible.
- Absolutely no illegal substances, illicit goods, fireworks, weapons, guns, knives or laser pointers will be permitted at the event and violators will be held accountable and prosecuted according to state and federal law.
- No pets are allowed except for service animals that align with the Garden’s policy that follows the ADA standard.
- This event is rain or shine.
- Refunds are offered only if the entire event is canceled.
