T'AI CHI GUIDED PRACTICE
JULY - AUGUST

Experience the grace and beauty of movement meditation through the 5 Elements Form of T’ai Chi. Join a community of others and explore your inner nature and the nature of the gardens while building strength, fostering mobility, and increasing balance. Classes take place in the garden or inside garden buildings depending on the weather. Dress for exercise. No prior experience needed. All skill levels welcome.

Fees: Member $82, Non-Member $103

About the Instructor

Rie Monique Cherie is a local movement specialist and master instructor offering classes and workshops in the Richmond Area since 1993. Qualifications include BFA in Dance and Choreography, VCU 1993, Master Teacher Cas Overton, Tai Chi, and multiple certifications in Yoga and DNI® (Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery, a.k.a. The Franklin Method). She now focuses on offering postural and wellness instruction through the Five Elements form of Tai Chi, yoga, and relaxation workshops. Rie has been teaching the Five Elements form and offering various wellness workshops at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden since 2009. She is known for being a dynamic teacher, and students always leave feeling a greater sense of wellbeing.
