Garden Guide and hydrangea enthusiast Rich Waiton leads tours of the Garden’s collections of these favorite summer shrubs. Learn about the several species which are adapted to Virginia and compare examples in the Garden to review differences in bloom, growth habit, soil type, sun exposure and pruning techniques.  Come dressed for the weather and walking in the Garden.

ALL TOURS ARE NOW OFFERED AS DROP-IN ONLY AND DO NOT REQUIRE REGISTRATION. THIS TOUR IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED AND IS LIMITED TO 15 PARTICIPANTS.

Fees: Member $0, Non-Members pay regular Garden admission.

Tours are held rain or shine; canceled only in case of severe weather.

While these tours are free to Members, non-members are required to pay regular admission fees at the Admissions desk prior to attending the tour.
