Ginger - A plant for any garden
and spice for every kitchen

Cultivated for over 3,000 years, ginger is one of the world’s favorite spices. It’s unique flavor adds something special to savory dishes, vegetables, fruits, desserts and even beverages. Learn how to grow this plant in your garden, showcase it when cooking and explore its potential healthful benefits. Also explore its relatives, galagal, turmeric and cardamom. Enjoy the delights of the ginger family in a post-lecture luncheon.

Our Garden continues to follow CDC recommendations and state guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Properly worn masks are strongly recommended for indoor class participants regardless of vaccination status. The Garden reserves the right to implement additional safety measures. Any updates will be communicated prior to class, if possible.
