WALKING MEDITATIONS
AT WICK LAKE

Discover a variety of ways to experience the beauty of Wick Lake through mindful walking. This four-session class introduces different walking meditation techniques designed to help participants cultivate awareness, relaxation, and a deeper connection with nature while exploring the lake’s scenic paths.

Fees: Member $52, Non-Member $65.

Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a water bottle. Participants will meet in the library’s Reading Room before heading to the Wick Lake area for each session.

This class takes place over four Thursdays from 10 – 11 am:

About the Instructor

Rie Monique Cherie is a local movement specialist and master instructor offering classes and workshops in the Richmond Area since 1993. Qualifications include BFA in Dance and Choreography, VCU 1993, Master Teacher Cas Overton, Tai Chi, and multiple certifications in Yoga and DNI® (Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery, a.k.a. The Franklin Method). She now focuses on offering postural and wellness instruction through the Five Elements form of Tai Chi, yoga, and relaxation workshops. Rie has been teaching the Five Elements form and offering various wellness workshops at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden since 2009. She is known for being a dynamic teacher, and students always leave feeling a greater sense of wellbeing.
