On Mother's Day, children and children-at-heart, enjoyed the terraced hill above the rose garden. Rolling down it was fun for those who rolled and those who observed.

One of the things I love about the gardens is the things for children. Every time I bring my daughter we have to spend time at the climbing tree in the Children's Garden. This is the first time I've seen that mulberry tree "fruiting."

What I especially loved about this piece was the way the light coming through the greenhouse windows made it glow, and created such delightful swirls of color and shadow on the ledge and base.
