A Tango in the rose garden during Rose Fest

I have to admit it. I love to watch the tango. Look at the serious passion on these dancer’s faces. Last year, when this photo was taken, during our first Rose Fest ever, in our (relatively) new rose garden, I felt like I was transported to Spain.  My husband, my children  and I stood in awe, watching as these dancers made use of one of the most romantic places here at the Garden, and shared their passion for roses and dance for all to see.  We were voyeurs,  and sat quietly watching the show as we licked our rose-flavored ice cream, sniffed fresh cut blooms and admired the Garden’s 1,800 roses, carefully tended by our rose gardener, Neil.

Don’t miss the 2nd annual Rose Fest, this weekend.  The tango dancers return this year on Saturday. On Sunday, the first 100 who come to Rose Fest will receive a free, cut, long-stem rose.

Plus on Saturday we’ll have a Post Plant Sale Plant Sale. And remember, there are less than 2 weeks left to see Butterflies LIVE!
