Japanese At-Home Favorites with Chef Anne

Inspired by this summer’s Origami in the Garden exhibit, Executive Chef Anne Maury Haapala demonstrates how to translate some of your favorite Japanese dishes for the home cook.  She’ll cover some of the delicious flavor profiles found in noodle dishes, sushi, hibachi and more.  Anne’s hour and a half demonstration is followed by a Japanese themed dinner featuring some of the recipes demonstrated, along with a Japanese cocktail or mocktail depending on your preference.

Japanese Favorites with Chef AnneChef Anne Maury Haapala

Chef Anne is the Executive Chef for the Garden’s caterer, Meriwether-Godsey.  She has a degree in hospitality and tourism from Virginia Tech and studied Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
